Works on this extensive renovation included raising the existing home, removal of existing poorly constructed additions, renovating the existing pool and landscaping.
The interiors are fitted out with a consistent material palette including bronze fittings, soft fabrics on built in seats, and terrazo tiles all tied together with simple white tiles. The result is a modern bright interior with plenty of light pouring in from the strategically placed skylight above the kitchen island bench.
The exterior of the home has been given a new façade that highlights the original Queenslander features and provides defined access points and a warm inviting entryway into the home. The large rear deck which is an extension of the interior living areas is wrapped with a series of highly detailed, individually fitted, moveable screens paired with glazed window bays to provide privacy and protection from the intense western sun.
The existing pool was relined and a new surround of burnished concrete added for a modern clean look along with new decking and fencing. The downstairs outdoor area flows from the house to the pool providing a great space for the family to relax and entertain in.
This home has been renovated with good design and quality workmanship coming together to create a modern family home that still pays homage to its existing Queenslander features.
