In some cases, old cottage houses were combined into one dwelling resulting in a mishmash of differing ceiling heights and levels. To bring the two into balance and create one harmonious house, L.A.K. Constructions had to carefully extend and level the roof lines. Once this was done, the rest of the house could be tastefully restored in keeping with the original elements.

Most of the attention was required for the kitchen area, and especially the cabinetry work. The high ceilings combined with the Velux Sky Lights create a light and airy atmosphere from the open kitchen through to the living, dining, and entertainment areas. The timber decking and outdoor space provides extra room for entertaining, and flows seamlessly into the backyard, and pool areas.

A fresh coat of paint, both inside and out, highlight the beautiful timber VJ panels, archways and features.

The outcome is an elegant period home, renovated to the highest standard, resulting in a seamless efficient house suitable for today’s modern family.
